Our 2016 Community Walk and BBQ was a great success. We enjoyed good company, ate delicious food provided by Steel Grill Catering and even got some exercise too! Besides the beautiful September weather, one highlight was our visit from Elvis (a.k.a. Matt Martin, whose full-time role is as an Anglican priest) who serenaded us with such favourites as “Love Me Tender” and “Blue Suede Shoes.” There may have even been a little boogying going on!
Best Buy, surprised us with a donation of two tablets, which was greatly appreciated and will be put to good use, helping people have further access to technology.
We’re looking forward to 2017’s Community Walk to be held on Thursday Sept. 21, 2017 (save the date!). We want to make it even bigger and better – increase our community awareness and involvement and raise more funds for people we support- and we’d love for you to join us. How can you help? Come and walk (and eat), sponsor someone who’s walking, or even be a part of our Community Walk Committee. Contact the office to find out more information.
Thanks again for your continued support and we’ll see you next year!
