News & Resources > Travel-Log Episode 2: My Trip to Vancouver

Last summer, Juanita and I headed off to visit my friend, Stacy, in Vancouver.
We flew from London to Toronto and then Toronto to Vancouver. When we arrived in Vancouver, Stacy met us at the airport.

We took the skytrain and then rented a car through a car share to get to her home. Later in the evening, we went for a drive to different areas of the city.

The next day, we did the hop-on-hop-off bus tour. We travelled to Stanley Park, Canada Place, Gastown, Yaletown, Chinatown, and downtown Vancouver. For dinner, we met up with some of Stacy’s friends at a restaurant called All India Sweets. It was cool trying food from a difference culture and meeting new people.

The following day, we rented another car through the car share and caught the Aquabus from the Olympic Village to Granville Island, where we had some lunch and did some shopping. We took the city bus back to Stacy’s house.

On our last full day, we went for a drive through different parts of British Columbia including New Westminster, Surrey and White Rock, where we walked the pier and had a snack.

Over the five days, we saw a lot and did a lot to create memories to hold on to for life.
