Adopt A Park Sign with Alice Saddy Association's name on it

Alice Saddy Association is excited to announce that we’ve adopted a park!  The Adopt-a-Park Program is in partnership with the City of London and encourages the care and preservation of our many city parks.

The City of London provides the tools, helps purchase trees or shrubs and removes the garbage after clean-up, while volunteers donate time,  helping to clean, maintain and beautify the park to make it an enjoyable and safe space for the community.

Our park – Meredith Park –  is located at 359 Nelson Street, between Colborne Street and Maitland Street, not far from our offices at 111 Waterloo Street, and the old South Street Hospital. Map of Meredith Park 359 Nelson Street London

Meredith Park has some great community facilities including a playground, washrooms, tennis courts and even a wading pool!

Our wonderful team of volunteers went out for our first clean-up session on a sunny (but slightly cool and windy) day, and we got a lot accomplished! Garbage was picked up, leaves were raked, and the pool was cleaned of debris, all while getting to meet some of the neighbours (and their friendly dogs).

We have some fun plans ahead for the park, so stay tuned!
